Dear Bobcat Families,

I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Friendship Elementary! It is an honor to continue serving as your principal and to be part of a school community that values growth, collaboration, and student success. As a proud Deltona resident with over 20 years  experience in Lake and Volusia County schools, I’m especially grateful to lead in the community I call home.

My journey in education began in the middle school classroom as an Algebra teacher, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in both elementary and middle school administration. These experiences have shaped my belief that a strong academic foundation in the early years opens doors to future opportunities—whether that path includes college or another meaningful pursuit.

At Friendship Elementary, we are committed to ensuring every student masters grade-level standards and leaves our school equipped with the tools to thrive. Last year, we made great strides in raising our school grade, and we’re building on that momentum. Our teachers are dedicated to using student data to identify learning gaps, provide targeted small group instruction, and deliver engaging lessons that spark curiosity and confidence.

I believe that “A PAWsitive Attitude Leads to Success!” To make this belief a reality, we will continue to:

  • Foster collaboration in every classroom
  • Provide timely interventions and supports
  • Monitor progress closely and adjust instruction as needed
  • Celebrate growth and effort every step of the way

Our mission remains simple and powerful:
Teach Every Kid, Every Day—Sometimes in Different Ways.

As we move forward, I invite all families to be active partners in our journey. Whether through our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) or School Advisory Council (SAC), your voice matters. These monthly meetings are a great way to stay informed and help shape the future of our school.

Together, we’ve got this! I look forward to another incredible year of learning, growing, and achieving—side by side with our amazing students, staff, and families.

With Bobcat pride,
William Rednour
