Dear Bobcat Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Friendship Elementary! I am honored to continue serving as your principal and proud to partner with a school community that is deeply committed to growth, collaboration, and student success.

As a Deltona resident with over 20 years of experience in Lake and Volusia County schools, it is truly a privilege to lead in the community I call home. Each year strengthens my belief that when schools and families work together, there is no limit to what our students can achieve.

I am incredibly proud to share that for the first time in a decade, Friendship Elementary is officially a “B” school. This milestone reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, and families. While we celebrate this achievement, we also recognize that it is not our finish line—it is our launching point.

This year, our theme is “Leveling Up to an A!”
We are building on our momentum with a clear focus and renewed energy to reach the next level of excellence.

At Friendship Elementary, our work remains centered on ensuring every student masters grade-level standards and leaves our school equipped for future success. To support our “Level Up” focus, we will:

  • Deepen data-driven instruction to meet the needs of every student
  • Expand targeted small group instruction and enrichment opportunities
  • Deliver engaging, rigorous lessons that promote critical thinking
  • Strengthen a positive, inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported

Our belief continues to guide us:
“A PAWsitive Attitude Leads to Success!”

We bring this belief to life each day by:

  • Fostering collaboration in every classroom
  • Providing timely interventions and support
  • Monitoring progress closely and adjusting instruction as needed
  • Celebrating growth, effort, and achievement every step of the way

Our mission remains our foundation:
Teach Every Kid, Every Day—Sometimes in Different Ways.

Family partnership continues to be essential to our success. I encourage you to stay connected and involved through our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and School Advisory Council (SAC). Your voice and participation help us continue to grow stronger as a school community.

Together, we are not just continuing the work—we are leveling up. I am confident that with our shared commitment, the 2026–2027 school year will be our strongest yet.

Together, we’ve got this—and together, we will reach an A!

With Bobcat pride,
William Rednour
